The Umtshayelo Foundation
About the Organisation
‘Umtshayelo’ is a Xhosa word meaning broom. Thus the primary aim of the Foundation is to sweep suffering away by acting as a bridge between those who give of their time, talent, treasure and things to help those in need. The quality and success of the client experience at The Home of TUF, in essence, is the ultimate barometer for what this plan sets out to achieve; providing a pathway to a sustainable future that nourishes and benefits our marginalised communities.
Our key focus area is education and run L4L (Learning4Life) out of school programs in Brackenfell, Hermon and Struisbaai with approx. 120 students combined.
