Western Cape Association for Persons with Disabilities
About the Organisation
WCAPD has been providing social services to persons with disabilities for more than a decade. As an NPO, we are largely dependent on private funding in order to provide our clients with assistive devices, infrastructure, as well as achieving our goal of constantly increasing our capacity to provide quality care and assistance to the most vulnerable persons in our society. It is for this reason that we organize fundraising events such as this Gala Dinner, and we depend on organizations and companies such as yours to raise much-needed funds to further our mandate within the Western Cape,Our services include rendering social development services, skills development programs, as well as work and employment, and childcare education. Our facilities include 13 special daycare centres for children with severe to profound disabilities up to the age of 18 years, skills development for 19 protective workshops to those aged 18 and over who cannot access the open labour market.
