Vanes-Mari Proudfoot (née du Toit) is a South African netball player and has 38 caps. Having not only represented her country in various tournaments and World Cups, but she also endeared herself to many fans around the world with her playful personality, after being seen waving to the camera while collecting an out-of-court ball.
On 21 December 2017, she married Matt Proudfoot, the Assistant coach of the Springbok Rugby Team.
In early 2018, Vanes-Mari was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars SA. Her dancing partner was Johannes Radebe and they made it as far as the semi-finals.
In 2019, Vanes-Mari joined the Kwela (on kykNET on DSTV Channel 144) team as a field presenter. She is also the Founder of Proudfit, a sports underwear brand.
Vanes-Mari is a Brand Ambassador for a couple of brands and an Influencer of note. She has a passion for giving back to the community and does so through her Charity work.
She also hosts netball clinics at both Primary and High Schools and teaches girls not only netball techniques but essential life skills.
